lira1.jpg (32106 bytes)Mrs. Patty Lira - Principal

MA Education Administration 1998, BA Elementary Education, Minor Spanish 1984. Both degrees are from Arizona State University.  Mrs. Lira was born in Michigan, moved to Phoenix at the age of 7. Mrs. Lira was a principal for 5 years before coming to Tempe Christian. She taught first grade in the inner city and the suburbs for 4 years. She taught English in an orphanage in Mexico. She is married to Eric Lira and has two teenagers, Lucy and Nick. When not being a principal, Mrs. Lira enjoys scrapbooking, reading, taking out of town trips and quiet times with God.

Working on ACSI Certification. Pastor Hallman, the oldest of 6 children, grew up in Southern California and moved to Arizona in 1983. She grew up in a Christian home and gave her heart to the Lord during 5th grade. She has always wanted to work with kids. Pastor Hallman has been Day Care Supervisor at TCS for 3 years and 15 plus years in home Day Care with 7 plus children per day. She has been the Children's Pastor at Tempe Nazarene Church since 1990 directing all children's activities from birth to 6th grade. She has taught VBS, Sunday School, Summer Camps and Camp Meetings. Pastor Hallman is married to Van and they have 5 children. When not teaching, she enjoys reading all kinds of books and shopping to find the best buys!

CDA (Child Development Associates) Degree - Central Arizona College. Mrs. Hein was born in Syracuse NY and moved to Arizona at a very early age. Most of her life has been spent in the East Valley. She has four brothers and one sister who also live in the valley. Mrs. Hein has been at TCS since 1995. She is currently the 2 year olds teacher and has held that position since 1998. Prior to this, she worked with Mrs. Gifford assisting her in the 3 year olds class. Mrs. Hein has also assisted on a volunteer basis in her own children's school. She is married to Ken and is mom and stepmom to 5 children. She enjoys watching the Diamondbacks, reading and most of all spending time with her family. She especially enjoys shopping with her girls and family get togethers.

Associates in Elementary Education - 2001 Currently working on Bachelors Degree from Ottawa University graduating in December 2003. Miss Hallman grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and attended Tempe Christian School from Kindergarten through Grade 6. Her teaching experience includes assistant for the K4 program at TCS for 4 years prior to teaching Kindergarten. She has been teaching the 3's since 1999 and absolutely loves it! When not teaching she loves to shop and do other "girl things" like getting pedicures. She very much enjoys being home and relaxing.

BA in Business Management from Arizona State University 1989. She is an Arizona native, born and raised in Phoenix. She married her husband in 1990, relocating to Virginia where he was stationed in the Air Force and returned to Phoenix in 1992 and started a family. Mrs. Nuckols has been teaching the preschool 3's class since 2001 and is currently earning her certification in the state of Arizona. She is married to Chris and they have 2 children, Kaitlyn and Justin. When not teaching, Mrs. Nuckols enjoys scrapbooking, seeing movies with family and friends, shopping and just spending time with her family.

Ms. Fewell grew up in Mesa, Arizona, married and moved to California. She moved back to Arizona in 2001 to be closer to her family. Her teaching experience includes working at Calvary Baptist Preschool as a Kindergarten assistant. This fall will be her 3rd year at TCS as a K4 teacher. Ms. Fewell is also in her 3rd summer at TCS in the Summer program. She has 2 children, Jacob, 11 in middle school and Ashley, 9 who attends TCS. When not teaching, Ms. Fewell enjoys taking her children to their sporting events. Both are very active in sports. She also enjoys reading, movies and playing video and board games.

CDA Early Childhood Development degree 1994 from Central Arizona College. Mrs. Gifford was born in West Virginia and moved to Arizona as a child. She has been teaching at Tempe Christian School for 20 years with 3 year olds and K4's. Mrs. Gifford is married with two sons. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Gifford enjoys traveling with her husband, reading and shopping.

BA in Elementary Education/Liberal Studies from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. Mrs. Krull grew up in Tempe, Arizona and moved to San Diego for College. After college, she had an internship at Honolulu First Church of the Nazarene in Hawaii. This year is Mrs. Krull's 4th year teaching. She is married to Gary and when not teaching, she enjoys spending time with him doing home improvement projects, visiting with friends and painting.

Master of Education from University of Arizona 1997 and BA from Mid America Nazarene University 1977. Mrs. Park was born in California and grew up in Joplin Missouri. She began teaching 1st Grade in Oklahoma City, OK until her husband transferred to Phoenix. Since living in Arizona, she has been teaching at Tempe Christian School. Mrs. Park has been married to Michael for 22 years and they have 3 teenagers, Aubrey, Courtland and Garron. When not teaching, Mrs. Park enjoys being with her family. She loves to read and work with her flowers and plants. She also enjoys shopping for antiques.

San Joaquin Delta College 1987. St. Mary's College of California 1989. "Miss Kathy" lived in Italy, Texas and Alabama during her youth while her father was in the Military. She moved to Arizona in 1976, moved to California in 1979 and finally back to Arizona in 2002. Her teaching experience includes being a teachers assistant from 1986 to 1988, private piano and keyboard since 1990 teaching contemporary worship accompaniment styles, basic and intermediate theory, classical piano studies and vocal coaching. "Miss Kathy" has one child and when not teaching music, she enjoys playing the piano, singing, reading, going for walks, spending time with friends, cooking and entertaining.

Mrs. Otto was Born in Orange, CA.  and lived in Southern California until she was 8.  She has lived in Phoenix ever since.  Rose has been the TCS secretary since 1996.  She was a TCS Teacher Assistant part time for 4 years and had a Day Care in her home for 14 years before coming to TCS.  Rose was a secretary for 2 years before she got married to Bob.  They have been married since 1977 and have 3 children Heather, Amanda and Joshua.  She enjoys spending time with her family, counted cross stitching, reading, scrapbooking, and card making.
