beginning of the week (so that you pay in advance for your child's attendance.)

Tuition charges will continue to accumulate for 14 calendar days

separate a child from other children for unacceptable age-appropriate behavior.
The separation period shall be for no longer than 3 minutes after the
child has regained control or composure.
Infants will be taken outside
once or twice a day. Toddlers will
have outdoor time 2 - 3 times a day. There
will be no other children on the playground when Toddlers are present.
Infants will be taken for rides around the grounds in strollers.
Parents need to provide the
formula and food that their child will need each day.
Once they are on table food you may continue to bring their food or you
may purchase lunch through our cafeteria for $1.00 per day.
Menus are available in the school office.
FIRST AID AND
Children are referred to the
office for minor injuries and common aches and pains.
A child who is ill simply
cannot function to the best of his/her ability.
TCS would like to partner with parents and guardians to assure that every
child while at school functions at or near 100%.
Parents will understand that:
Tempe Christian School administers prescription
medications as instructed by physician. Medication
authorization forms are located in the office.
Medication, by law, may not be administered without a completed
The child must have been on the medication for at
least 24 hours.
Children with a fever of 100 degrees or higher must
be sent home.
A child with vomiting or diarrhea should not come
A child with "pink eye" (conjunctivitis)
cannot return to school until the condition has cleared up or the child has been
on medication for 24 hours.
A child with a rash of unknown origin should not
attend school until the rash is gone or a note from a health care provider
stating that the child is not contagious and may return to school.

24 hours before the child can return to school.
Your child is not well if "drugs" are relieving the symptoms.
We cannot emphasize how
important it is for all parents and staff to cooperate with this policy.
It is for the welfare of our children and the health of Tempe Christian
Medications must be in the
original container and have the name of the child, the name and prescription
number, instructions for administering the medication (including dosage, date
and time the medication is to be given), and the reason the medication is
prescribed. A "Medication
Authorization" request form must be completed. The child must have been on the medication for at least 24
hours. The medicine is to be given
to the school secretary and will be dispensed as instructed by the physician.
We will administer
nonprescription medication provided by the parent, such as Tylenol, Advil, cold
or cough medicine, only from a container prepackaged and labeled for use by the
manufacturer and labeled with the child's name. Written instructions from the child's physician must
accompany all nonprescription medications.
In case of emergency, all
attempts to reach parents will be exhausted.
If parents cannot be reached, 911 will be called.
In case of extreme emergency, 911 will be called first.
Parents will then be contacted using phone numbers on record.
Our school has a well
organized, active Parent Teacher Fellowship.
This excellent group of parents and staff sponsor major fund raising
activities during the school year. The
proceeds are used solely for the benefit of the school and its programs.
Parents also participate in
student programs and open forums. Current
information from the Tempe Christian School Board and from the administration is
also a regular part of the PTF meetings. Check
the school calendar for dates and times of meetings.

2 change of clothes (labeled in a ziploc bag) to be
left in the child's cubby
2 large boxes of baby wipes
label all items your child uses with your child's name or initials.
ALL children must be signed in
and out by an authorized person. The
sign in sheets are posted in the classroom.
Initials alone are not sufficient. These
rules apply to all children on a daily basis.
All flyers, hand-outs, open
letters and communiqués intended for distribution on any portion of Tempe
Nazarene Church or Tempe Christian School property, including, but not limited
to parking lot, breeze way and student cubbies, must be approved by church
and/or school administration, prior to distribution.
Concerns regarding major
policy issues should immediately be brought to the attention of school
administration. A letter detailing
issues should also be submitted at that time for distribution to and
consideration by the School Board.
SCHOOL OFFICE HOURS
The school office opens at
8:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m. Parents
are welcome at any time. However,
it is recommended that you make an appointment with the office prior to your

your copies of statements for your Income Tax needs.
Additional requests for printed reports from the bookkeeping office are
